What is Tic Tac Toe?
Tic Tac Toe (also called Noughts and Crosses) is a two-player game you can learn in a minute. Kids pick it up fast, but there is enough strategy to make adults pause and think. Good for a quick game with a friend or a round against the computer.
How to Play Tic Tac Toe
The game uses a 3x3 grid. Players take turns placing their symbol: one uses X, the other uses O. X goes first. Get three of your symbols in a row and you win.

Each corner is part of three winning lines. Grabbing corners early sets up multiple threats.
Block your opponent
If they have two in a row, block the third spot or you lose. Pay attention.
Create a fork
A fork gives you two ways to win at once. Your opponent can only block one, so you take the other.
Think ahead
Before you move, picture your opponent responding. The best players see a few moves into the future.

Notice what works and what gets you beaten. Losses teach more than wins sometimes.
Going deeper
Tic Tac Toe has patterns worth knowing. If X takes center and O takes a corner, X should grab the opposite corner. If X takes center and O takes an edge, X can force a win. Small details, big results.
